Editorial Policy

Plant Interactive publishes terrarium guides written from first-hand experience. This policy explains how the content is made and how we try to keep it trustworthy.

Who writes here

Content is written by Eamin Hosen, a hobbyist terrarium builder with more than five years and 25-plus builds of hands-on experience. Eamin is not a botanist or a credentialed plant scientist, and the site says so plainly. Guidance here is practical and experience-based.

How we make content

  • Experience first. Methods and recommendations come from terrariums we have actually built, with our own photos wherever possible.
  • We check the science. When we explain why a technique works, we verify the underlying plant-care or biology claim against reliable sources before publishing. Where something is opinion or personal preference, we label it as such.
  • We show failures. Terrariums fail, and we write about what went wrong and why, not just the wins.
  • Climate honesty. Much of our advice is written with warm, humid climates in mind. When a tip depends on your local conditions, we say so.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim to be accurate, but plant care involves many variables and living things do not read instructions. If you spot an error, contact us on the Contact page and we will review and correct it. Updated articles may note when they were last revised.

No guarantees

Every home, container, water source, and plant is different. We share what has worked for us; we cannot promise the same result in your setup. Follow our guides at your own discretion.

Independence

If and when Plant Interactive earns money through recommendations, that will be disclosed clearly on the Affiliate Disclosure page. Recommendations are based on our own use and honest opinion, and are never made in exchange for a positive review.
